I've known for a while that I love my mornings when I am able to get them, but during so many periods in the last few years I just haven't been able to get them.
Spring 2019 was the first time where I really got my shit together and had a schedule and habits that really amplified my outputs. I didn't wake up ambitiously early (it was probably like 9am), but I went to bed around the same time every evening and overall felt great.
Summer 2019 was a detour. It was my first time in San Francisco and I had a great internship experience, but I would often roll out of bed at 9:45am to walk across the street and get into the office by 10am. Not great.
Fall 2019 was another step in the opposite direction, but I think this was totally warranted because I didn't care a whole lot about work and was spending almost every weekend traveling with my friends.
Spring 2020 was a bit better, but it only lasted a couple months due to COVID. But during quarantine and ever since, I've been pretty good about waking up at the same time every morning and it's been wonderful. This morning has been particularly great and it makes me want to get up even earlier.
