I‘m not sure since when people tell „Men don‘t cry!“. I know I was told it a lot of times when I was a kid. When I hurt my knee, my grandfather told me, you‘re as strong as an Indian, and Indians don‘t known pain.
Obviously everybody knows pain and hurting your knee can hurt quite a lot when you‘re a kid. Since then (when I hurt my knee) a lot of time has passed and still I hear people say this sentence.
Why is it not allowed for men to cry? Because it is a women thing? And only women are allowed to show weakness? What a shit!
As I have written I was recently on the funeral of my grandfather and obviously I cried. I cry when I‘m watching a good movie and someone dies. And I cry when something really happy happens.
Why shouldn‘t men be allowed to show emotions?
