I want to upgrade my daily content creation habit to video in September. It's a long wish of mine, but I'm finally getting around it: my setup is ready, and I have video format ideas.
Unlike my freewheeling daily posts, I want my videos to focus on making web apps and developing features. It's my favorite topic and I feel like there is a lot of potential for niche content that is both original and educational.
I also happen to spend several hours per day writing software, so I would just need to use raw footage of me working and my daily maker logs to establish an outline: there is no time spent creating when you document everything, which is a huge helper to deliver content on a regular basis.
Of course, most of the work would be spent editing to make the video interesting and entertaining, but I could crank out several 5-minute clips per week without much work.
I love Youtube channels like Randall, Coding Garden, or Marc Rebillet, so the long-term goal is to gravitate toward daily dev logs, starting with long live-streaming sessions to transform into video clips, essays, and shows.
Writing would be an integral part of the pipeline, since you can't really make great videos without great stories to tell.
