Feeling a bit confused and obsessed with power lately.

I know about the 48 laws book and I read that a while back. But I thought the author was a bit disturbed. Maybe I wasn't ready for power then. I am considering re-reading it. I am also trying to observe what power means to most people, what are the mediums to getting and showing power.

For some reason - power tends to have a negative connotation. But if you use it to mean effective or leadership, it has more appeal. An effective leader definitely has power. The type of power that gets things done.

The more I think about it, it is a complex set of skills to becoming an effective leader.
- Emotional intelligence,
- Empathy
- Assertive
- Organized
- Good communication skills (oral and written)

I think there are very few people with all these skills. I think they can be learnt. But there is a chance that the power or power leads to corruption quickly. I see a lot of powerful and corrupt people around me that I don't envy. But shows like breaking bad expose how it happens to a lot of us.

There is a paradox to power.
This feels like it needs more thinking, writing and more posts.
